FUUSA's facilities are available to rent for weddings and commitment ceremonies, both for members of the congregation and for nonmembers. You are free to write your own vows and observe your own, unique religious traditions, and any clergy person you choose may officiate at your wedding or commitment ceremony.
Facilities
The Sanctuary, Channing Hall and Emerson Community Hall are all located on the first floor of the building and may be used in any combination for weddings and commitment ceremonies. You might choose to have the ceremony in the Sanctuary which seats up to 196 people, reception in Channing Hall, and catered dinner in Emerson Community Hall. Or, a potluck dinner in Channing and dancing in Emerson.
For receptions, Channing Hall will accommodate 150 people standing or 100 seated at tables. The newly completed Emerson Community Hall seats 299 people on the first floor, and 42 in the balcony. (For details on the room layouts and amenities, see Room Descriptions.)
Many smaller rooms are available should you need gathering places for members of the wedding party or guests.
We can refer you to a minister if you are seeking a Unitarian Universalist officiant, and our Music Director may be available to play either piano or organ. You would contract directly with either minister or musician, and pay them separately from the rental fees.
